The simple quotidian action of eavesdropping can assume multiple forms, from accidental to psychopathic. It is a seemingly harmless and innocent activity – after all, it is not punishable by the law. Although it is socially inacceptable, human nosiness compels us to find out other people’s secrets. Wolszczak presents the visitors with eavesdropping apparatus: the ear becomes the tool of the “prohibited act,” and a glass is en object intensifying the sound of a private conversation. Although we are not sure whether we will hear anything when we put our ear to the glass, this temptation is hard to resist- what if something interesting is going on behind the wall? Petty everyday sins are what humans excel in.
